CMC Ludhiana PG Dental Entrance Exam 2017 through NEET PG

Christian Medical College (CMC) Ludhiana has invited application for PG Dental Admission 2017 is through NEET 2017 Dental. CBSE is organizing National Eligibility cum Entrance Test on all-India level. Admission to MDS Courses at CMS Ludhiana will now be as per NEET exam.

Distribution of Seats

1. Pedodontia & Preventive Dentistry (Category-A: 02 Seats, Category-B: 01 Seat and Category-C NRI: 01 Seat).
2. Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (Category-A: 02 Seats, Category-B: 01 Seat and Category-C NRI: Nil).
3. Prosthodontia (Category-A: 01 Seat, Category-B: 02 Seats and Category-C NRI: Nil).

Eligibility Criteria for MDS Admission 2017

All admissions shall be based on the eligibility as per the national eligibility cum entrance test (NEET-PG-2017) and the marks for minimum 2 years service in the peripheral hospitals, as per details

Academic Qualification: Applicants must have passed the Final Professional BDS Exam of a recognized university and have completed 12-months paid compulsory rotating internship program (as prescribed and approved by Dental Council of India) by March 31^st 2017.

No condonation of Internship of 12 months period shall be accepted except for the students of the batch admitted during the academic session 2007-08 and have completed 4½ year BDS Course along with 6-months compulsory rotating internship.

An Indian national studying in Foreign University/School must produce an eligibility certificate recognizing the qualifying exam as equivalent to BDS as recognized by the Baba Farid University of Health Sciences & Dental Council of India.

Nationality: Applicants must be Indian Nationals. For NRI Applicants, refer to the NRI Category.

For Christian Minority Category: Applicants, in this category, are required to submit photocopies of church membership certificate, baptism certificate, confirmation certificate (if applicable) along with the printed application form to be considered in this category, by the due date January 15^th 2016.

For Open General Category: BDS graduates of CDC Ludhiana with a service commitment who have completed the service, as per agreement for sponsorship made with the sponsoring body/ church at the time of BDS admission; such applicants must produce a detailed certificate showing the period of service rendered by the applicant, mentioning the dates and the place(s) where the applicant worked in this connection.

The authorized person of the sponsoring body/church must issue this to this effect and stating that the sponsoring body/church has no objection for the applicant to apply.

For NRI Category: Applicants interested in applying to the NRI Category should fill the NRI application form and ensure all eligibility criteria are fulfilled (before applying), as per guidelines of BFUHS, before applying. Such applicants should submit ‘Proof of NRI’ and the Eligibility Certificate obtained from Baba Farid University of Health Sciences.

For Non-Resident Indian (NRI): An Indian Citizen who stays abroad for employment/carrying on business, to pursue a vocation outside India or under circumstances indicating an intention for an uncertain duration of stay abroad is a non-resident. Non-resident foreign citizens of Indian Origin are treated on par with non-resident Indian citizens (NRIs) for the purpose of certain facilities.

Admission Process for MDS Admission 2017

All Admissions shall be based on the merit of the national eligibility cum entrance test (NEET MDS 2017).

Appearance in NEET-MDS-2017 alone does not confer any automatic right to secure admission. Only applicants who have qualified in the NEET-MDS-2017 and fulfill the admission and eligibility criteria of CMC Ludhiana will be eligible.

An eligible applicant will be evaluated as per the cumulative total of marks of NEET-MDS-2017 and the marks for Service in ‘CDC Ludhiana and Outreach Centers and affiliated hospitals’ of Christian Medical College Ludhiana.

A applicant will be required to qualify in NEET-MDS- 2017 and should have applied, and submitted NEET Scores, to CMC Ludhiana by the last date to be in the Merit List.

The Merit List will be displayed on www.cmcludhiana.in on January 31^st 2017. No separate letters/communication will be sent to any applicant.

How to Apply – MDS Admission?

The MDS Prospectus & Application Form will be available online from December 24^th 2016 till January 25^th 2017.

The Online application form, duly completed, should be first submitted online along with payment, latest by January 25^th 2017. The Application form should subsequently be printed and sent along with Form 99 (PDF – For Additional marks, printed and duly filled), with other enclosures. Application number generated on submission of online form must be quoted on the Application Form.

All Category A and B applicants have to submit a fee of Rs.3900/- for the admission process (inclusive of prospectus fee and application fee) online by appropriate payment mode.

NRI applicants have to apply separately using the NRI application form. NRI Applicants have to submit a fee of Rs.25000/- for the admission process (inclusive of prospectus fee and application fee) online, by appropriate payment mode.

Print out of Completed Application form and Form 99 along with enclosures are to be sent to ‘The Registrar’, Christian Medical College, Ludhiana-141008. This must be received latest by January 28^th 2017.
