Symbiosis International University (SIU), Conduct SNAP 2016, Last Date

About Us:

Since 2007, candidates aspiring to join MBA programs offered by institutes of Symbiosis International University have to take the common, mandatory Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP) Test. A candidate used to register for SNAP Test & then register with the institutes offering his/ her choice of program by paying separate institution registration fees. If shortlisted, he/she would then attend the GE-PIWAT process conducted by each of these institutes.

Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) is a common written test for admission to all Post-Graduate Institutes of Symbiosis International University (SIU).

SNAP Test is conducted in 30 cities all over India. A candidate may choose one city of the following:
Agra, Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Faridabad, Gurgaon, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Jamshedpur, Kanpur, Kochi, Kolkata, Kolhapur, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Nashik, NOIDA, Patna, Pune, Surat, Vashi, Visakhapatanam.
  • Test Centre and its address will be printed on the Admit Card.
  • Symbiosis Test Secretariat reserves the right to change or allot a city other than the one requested by the candidate in the event of the requested city not being available for any reason.
Test Pattern: SNAP Test is an objective test. Each question has 4 responses out of which one is correct. Each wrong answer attracts 25% negative marks. The duration of the test is 120 minutes (2 hours).

  • Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency: 40 Marks
  • General Awareness: General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Business Scenario: 40 Marks

  • Graduate from any recognized / statutory University or Institute with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST). Programmes which require specific discipline/ subject specialisation need to be checked for eligibility as given by the respective Institute.
  • A candidate who has completed qualifying degree from any Foreign University must obtain an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). All foreign degrees/ qualifications need to be verified from AIU by the candidate before seeking admission to any programme of SIU.

New in SNAP Registration & Selection:
Only one registration process is conducted for all Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs offered by different institutes of Symbiosis International University (SIU). Also, there is a single Personal Interaction and Writing Ability Test (PI-WAT) process for all educational programs held at the campuses of Bangalore, Pune and Noida.

Your selection for the PI-WAT process is based on your scores in Academic Profile (AP) and SNAP. AP score is calculated as: AP= (A*1)+(B*1.5)+(C*2.5); A, B and C are scores acquired in Classes X, XII and graduation respectively. The final score is obtained with 80% weightage to SNAP score and 20% weightage to AP score.

Important Dates:

SNAP Application & Payment Date Extended Till: 30th November, 2015
Admit Card: 5th to 20th December, 2015
SNAP Test is on: 20th December, 2015 (Sunday) Time: 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
SNAP Test Result: 11th January, 2016 (Monday)
