CEED 2015 Common Entrance Examination for Design

Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) Qualifying Examination for Admission toMaster of Design (M.Des) Programs at IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati and IIT Kanpur and Ph.D Programs in Design in some Institutes, for the Academic year 2015
The objective of CEED is to assess the candidates’ aptitude for design involving visual perception ability, drawing skills, logical reasoning, creativity and communication skills

Programmes

CEED qualified students are eligible for the following postgraduate programmes in various institutes with the specialization as mentioned:
(a) Master of Design Programmes
IISc Bangalore: M.Des in Product Design and Engineering*
IIT Bombay: M.Des in Industrial Design, Visual Communication, Animation, Interaction Design, Mobility and Vehicle Design
IIT Delhi: M.Des in Industrial Design
IIT Guwahati: M.Des in Design
IIT Kanpur: M.Des in Industrial Design*
*GATE qualified candidates will also be considered for admission to these programmes
(b) Ph.D Programmes in Design (IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay)

Eligibility for CEED 2015

Candidates must either have completed or be expecting to complete any of the following, by July 2015:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Architecture / Design/ Interior Design or equivalent (4 years programmes after 10+2)
Professional Diploma in Design (NID/CEPT or equivalent of 4 years duration after 10+2)
B.F.A. (4 year professional programme, after 10+2)
G.D. Art (5 year programme after 10th) with one year post qualification, professional experience
Master’s degree in Arts / Science / Computer Applications (2 year programme after 10+2+3)

NOTE

Candidates with 3 years Bachelors degree are not eligible
The candidate is responsible for showing eligibility while seeking admission to the specific programme in which they are interested
There is no age limit and a candidate can appear for CEED any number of times

How to Apply:

CEED Application Form must be submitted online, through the websitewww.gate.iitb.ac.in/ceed2015
The non-refundable application fee is Rs.2000/- for men of General and OBC category, andRs.1000/- for SC/ST category, physically disabled (PD), and all women candidates
Women (All Categories) Rs. 1000/-
Candidates who claim to be in SC/ST/OBC category have to produce valid certificates issued by appropriate authorities
Fees can be paid via: State Bank of India Collect Facility via Internet Banking/Credit Cards/Debit cards

Instructions for Filling the ONLINE Application Form:

The applicant has to upload their photograph, signature and other documents
Paper copies of the form or any other documents must NOT be submitted CEED 2015 Online Application Interface requires that copies of your photograph and signature be uploaded as electronic files
Please upload good quality photographs
Poor quality of photographs submitted will lead to rejection of your CEED application, without any refund of the application fees
The CEED Score Card will include the photograph you submit and also a photograph that will be taken at the time of the exam
Scanned copy of your PwD certificate (pdf file) issued by an appropriate authority for PwD category (Appendix D)
Scanned copy of your eligibility certificate (pdf file); degree certificate if the course is completed or the certificate from the Principal of your college (Appendix E) if the course is not completed

Admit Cards

Admit cards will be available for downloading from the CEED website from 07th Nov 2014 to 06th Dec 2014
Please take a clear printout (in color) of the admit card before coming to the examination centre

Examination Centres

After submission of the application, request for change of examination city will be accepted till30th October 2014 with a fee of Rs.500/- to be paid in the form of demand draft in favor of 'IIT Bombay', payable at Mumbai
Result: Result will be announced on 15th January 2015
The Score cards will be available fro download from 22nd January 2015

Non Examination Pathway - MBA admissions through National Level Tests
For MBA Oil & Gas / Power Management / Energy Trading / Logistics & Supply Chain Management / International Business: Students having minimum CAT score of 75 percentile or MAT score of 80 Percentile will be exempted from UPES Management Entrance Test and will only be called for Group Discussion & Interview. Valid CMAT 2014 & 2015 scores will also be accepted
For MBA Port & Shipping Management / Aviation Management / Infrastructure Management / Business Analytics): Students having minimum CAT score of 70 Percentile or MAT score of 75 Percentile will be exempted from UPES Management Entrance Test and will only be called for Group Discussion & Interview
Valid CMAT 2014 & 2015 scores will also be accepted
Note: CAT November 2014 and MAT scores of September 2014, December 2014, February/May 2015 will be accepted
** Upto 50% seats shall be filled through National Level Tests category. Incase candidates for such seats are not available, UPES has the right to fill these seats through UPES Entrance Test
University also reserves the right to conduct further physical (paper pencil test) / online test for admission post February 2015

Examination Pathway

Admissions through UPES Management Entrance Test (UPESMET) 
Candidates whose CAT/ MAT/CMAT/GMAT scores do not meet above-mentioned criteria, but they still have minimum 50% marks in Class 10th and Class 12th and in graduation, can seek admission to UPES MBA programs by taking the UPES Online Management Entrance Test (UPESMET)
MBA (All Streams)
Online Test will be tentatively conducted from 12th February 2015 to 16th February 2015 in 3 slots starting at 10.00 a.m., 01.00 p.m. & 04.00 p.m on each day respectively
Time: Test Slots can be chosen by student’s post the last date for application - 01st February 2015 is over
Duration - 2:00 hrs

Reservation of Seats

For Uttarakhand Bonafide resident candidates: 15 % of the seats in all program will be reserved for resident of Uttarakhand subject to producing of "Sthai Niwas Praman Patra certificate"
These Seats will be filled by separate merit list declared for Uttarakhand resident candidates
However in the event of the seats remaining unfilled by the stipulated date in the above mentioned category the same shall be treated as unreserved

Online Test Process

Candidates will appear for the ONLINE test by logging in with their credentials from their computer connected with a webcam and an internet connection
Candidates have the convenience to appear for the test from their home, office or internet cafe
Please note, the candidates will be sent their login credentials at least 24 hours before the exam
