Tata Institute of Social Sciences Bachelors Admission Test 2015

Applications are invited to a computer based Bachelors Admission Test (BAT 2015) to seek admission into B.A. Social Sciences as part of a Five year Integrated admission to BA & MA in Social Sciences offered from TISS Guwahati, Tuljapur, and Hyderabad Campuses and BA (Hons) in Social Work (2015-18) from TISS Tuljapur campus.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidate should have passed 12th Standard or Intermediate in any subject stream from a Recognized Board.

Candidate who is awaiting 12th or intermediate results can also apply. If selected, final pass result should be produced at the time of joining.

Age Limit

Candidate should be less than 23 years of age while appearing for the TISS BAT Exam on 10 May, 2015.

Candidates can choose only one campus in the online application. No transfers are permitted between the campuses.

The TISS Guwahati campus has been established with support from the Ministry of Development of North-Eastern Region (MDONER), Govt. Of India.

The Campus is expected to benefit students from the 8 States of the region.

66% of the seat will be proportionately distributed amongst the 8 North-Eastern States. Seats allocated will follow the Reservation Norms of that state.

34% of the seats from rest of India. Seats allocated will follow the Govt. Of Inidia Reservation norms.

The Social Protection Office (SPO) facilitates the overall welfare of the students, staff and faculty belonging to SC, ST, OBC, Minority & PWD communities.

The SPO organizes Post-Admission Orientation Programme for the new students at the beginning of the academic programme.

The application form needs to be mailed with attested copies of the following documents:

·         X Standard Marks Sheet

·         XI Standard Marks Sheet

·         XII Standard Marks Sheet (if already passed)

·         Caste certificate (if applicable)

·         Income certificate (if applicable)

·         Disability certificate (if applicable)

·         Copy of SBI bank challan (if applicable)

Mode of Payment:

Candidates can pay the application fee of Rs. 1020 through Credit Cards / Debit Card / Online Transactions or through SBI Bank Challan.

For payment by cash deposit in SBI Branch, the bank will charge a processing fee of Rs. 50 for each deposit. This has to be paid separately and is not a part of the application fee.

All candidates are encouraged to apply online. When you apply online, please upload a photograph with the following specifications:

A recent color photograph taken against a plain background.

·         The photograph should show only your face and shoulders.

·         The photograph should not have any other object or person in part or full.

·         The photograph should be of png format with size under 5MB.
