Bachelor of Commerce or B.Com
is one of the traditional courses in India which has gained
tremendous popularity in these recent times. This degree is designed to provide
students with managerial skills and at the same time building proficiency and
competence in a specific area. Under this course students are exposed to
general business principles, organizational behavior, quantitative analysis.
This curriculum focuses on both academic subjects like economics, statistics
and other practical business subjects like law, accountancy, management,
finance and marketing. Students after completion of H.S.C (Higher Secondary)
examination in science or commerce stream can purse bachelor
of commerce degree easily from any recognized universities or
colleges. This course calls for those students who choose majority of their
courses relating to business depending on students interest like Auditing,
Finance, Banking, Financial Accounting, Economics, Business Management, Foreign
Accounting & Auditing etc. Eligibility — Students who have successfully completed their H.S.C (Higher Secondary) or 10+2 examination in commerce or science stream can pursue this course.
Course Duration — 3 Years
Admission Procedure — Different colleges have different admission procedures for bachelor of commerce. Generally but no entrance tests were conducted for admissions in B.Com. Admissions are granted to the students on the basis of their merits.
Career Prospects — After successful completion of B.Com course, students may purse the master´s degree in the same stream or can opt for the job as Accountant, Account Executive, Finance Manager, Operations Manager, Financial Analyst and so on.
